Martin Creed - Work No. 1197: All the bells in a country rung as quickly and as loudly as possible for three minutes

At 08:12 on 27th July 2012, thousands of people across the UK will be joining together to ring in the first day of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Everyone across the country is invited to take part.

Work No. 1197: All the bells in a country rung as quickly and as loudly as possible for three minutes by Turner Prize-winning artist and musician Martin Creed is a London 2012 Festival commission and will be performed by you. Anyone can take part by ringing any bell whatsoever.

I've signed up here so now all I need to do is find a loud enough bell.

After a long day of heated deliberation we decided that the following artists will have their work shown on the streets of Nenagh in February.

Sarah Buckius, Aiken/USA,
Flatform, Milano/Italy,
Paul Grimmer, Newcastle upon Tyne/UK,
Fergus Fullarton Pegg, Glasgow/UK,
Mark Neville, Glasgow/UK,
Lucie Kim & Felix von der Weppen, New York/USA,
David Theobald, East Twickenham/UK,
Nathalie Lavoie, Fort Simpson/Canada

The theme this year was 'Balance' and about 150 artists from around the globe entered their work.

Congratulations to those artists selected.
